Every year the Union of Political Science Students (UPSS) of the New School for Social Research hosts a Graduate Student Conference with the aim of providing a space for innovative scholarship on various topics related to Political Science. The conference provides a venue for scholars at different levels of their career to present unpublished work in a collegial environment where new ideas can be explored.
The Graduate Student Conference seeks interdisciplinary work as well as academic inquiries, including non-essay contributions. The theme of the conference for 2011 is “Amplification and Resistance: Introducing Politics of the Globe”.
This year’s conference is sponsored by the Dean’s Office of NSSR, the Union of Political Science Students, Graduate Program in International Affairs, Global Studies program, and the International Center for Migration, Ethnicity, and Citizenship at the New School.
